My husband and I have had to relearn the art of dating. When we were young, we took for granted the endless time we could spend together. We used to love dinners out, as we could sit for hours staring into one another’s eyes, sipping wine, talking about anything, while never once having to look at our watches. We’ve even been known to shut a restaurant or two down in the wee hours of the morning, as we simply had all the time in the world for one another.

Today is a wonderfully beautiful day on the East Coast. The sun is shining, the air is crisp, and I woke up in the middle of the mattress squished between one very large 8 year old and one very large 7 year old. I was lulled back to sleep by their heavy breathing and startled back awake by the little flinstone foot that kicked me in my thigh. Ahhhh...a beautiful morning.
