I was talking to Clare the other day about motivation for weight loss and accountability. We have our Daily Dose of Exercise Motivation thread - daily exercises that you can (typically) do at home - and an accountability thread to help stay motivated.
We also have our weekly Skinny Thoughts thread for everyone to stay motivated with eating healthy and accountable with weigh-ins.
Why should I try to have a healthy diet?
Having a healthy diet is one of the most important things you can do to help your overall health. Along with physical activity, your diet is the key factor that affects your weight. Having a healthy weight for your height is important. Being overweight or obese increases your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, breathing problems, arthritis, gallbladder disease, sleep apnea (breathing problems while sleeping), osteoarthritis, and some cancers.

When I was a child, “Sleep with the Angels!” was my mother’s evening-tide farewell. At the time, these words meant nothing. As far as I could determine, Angels were just another figment of the Christian imagination. Besides, why would I want to sleep with Angels? From what I’d been taught, they lived in heaven, which meant, if I were to sleep with them, I’d have to be dead!

I started a new yoga class yesterday evening, and boy was it wonderful! I was a little nervous, because I don't usually like classes. I am a solo exerciser, except when it comes to running - I love to run with a partner and talk until we're done running! LOL!
