No. We do not allow "spam" of any type in forums or posts.  If you post spam, you will be banned.

I know many of you have home-based and other businesses. However, we do not allow marketing of your businesses on the Forum. If you place an advertisement of any type, including but not limited to, Google Adsense, textual advertisements, or any other type of advertisements that the Administrator may deem as inappropriate or spam, you do run the risk of being banned from The Women's Nest. The reason for this  is simple. Women come to TWN to be part of a community of women where they can escape from their daily life, chat with others who are in similar situations, gain and share advice, stories, and friendship. Advertisements takes away from the value that TWN offers to our members. Unfortunately, if we allowed advertising in the Forum, we would quickly become a venue for spam, and that would be quite a turn off for our members.

What Can You Do Instead?

Contact Thinkhappy about advertising on our site or putting a link to your site in the  Links We Like area of the Forum - It is in the Welcome Aboard area - The first place new members visit when joining our site.

If you would like to place an advertisement on our site, please submit the Advertising Form.

Adding pics to blogs is pretty simple, as long as your pic is on the web. If it isn't on the web yet, it's easy to get it there - you can upload it on tinypic.com! When pasting in, please use: Direct Link For Layouts from Tinypic (you can use any photo site)

When in your blog or post, click on the little widget in your editor bar that looks like a yellow mountain - it's on the far left side. Then paste your URL (Direct Link for Layouts) into the area that say URL. Save and you're done!

Please make sure your pics are not too large (no larger than 4x4 in, and when appropriate, smaller) :-) and no pornographic or inappropriate pics are allowed on this site - you risk being banned if you try to post these:-) If you need tips on making your photos smaller, PM Thinkhappy.

Welcome! We're psyched that you are joining us! After surfing around the main categories and reading the new articles, and of course joining our Book Club (don't forget to order your book! March is fast approaching!) - Then come join us in the Women's Forum (accessible through the Women's Forum at the top of the page, or to your left under Find a Forum)!

A great place to start, after reading our Welcome info about avatars and such, is in the Introduce Yourself Here area! Tell other members about yourself and let them know to look for your posts!  Alternatively, you can go to Find  a Forum (left menu) and click on the specific category you are looking for!

If you want the Forum to look like our old one, just click on Women's Forum in the Menu up top - just below our TWN header.

Helpful info about posting: Once logged in, you will see the recent posts in the left column. To view your posts, go to your Account (found in the Menu at the left of your screen) and click on Track.

The Post New Forum Topic is located just below the Mark All Forums Read button at the Subcategory Level (ie: Click on a Category such as Family & Parenting. You will then see Mark All Topics Read. Once you click into a Topic - you can "reply" from there - but to start a new Thread (Topic) you need to go back to this screen.

Note to All Members:

Threads in Forums read from top to bottom, bottom being the most current.
