If you are being allowed into the forums but you are not able to post, then you are perhaps trying to post a Forum Container rather than a Topic. This is a common error that we are trying to figure out how to prevent:-) Sorry...growing pains...But the answer is simple!

When you are in a Category, Family and Parenting, for example, and you first click into it you are taken to the Main Topic Level. Those are called the Subtopics. You have to click into the Subtopic where you believe your post belongs, then you can create topics;-)

Try that - if you have problems, just contact Thinkhappy. If you use the Contact Us form, PLEASE make sure the email addresses: Thinkhappylive [dot] com and Thinkhappythewomensnest [dot] com are okay'd in your address book - otherwise you may never receive your answer. You can always private message Thinkhappy, too. Click on Private Message in the right navigation menu, then Write New Message.

Above all, be patient, you will get it!

When in your blog or post, click on the little widget in your editor bar that looks like a yellow mountain - it's on the far left side. Then paste your URL (Direct Link for Layouts) into the area that say URL. Save and you're done!

Please make sure your pics are not too large (no larger than 4x4 in, and when appropriate, smaller) :-) and no pornographic or inappropriate pics are allowed on this site - you risk being banned if you try to post these:-) If you need tips on making your photos smaller, PM Thinkhappy.

I know many of you have home-based and other businesses. However, we do not allow marketing of your businesses on the Forum. If you place an advertisement of any type, including but not limited to, Google Adsense, textual advertisements, or any other type of advertisements that the Administrator may deem as inappropriate or spam, you do run the risk of being banned from The Women's Nest. The reason for this  is simple. Women come to TWN to be part of a community of women where they can escape from their daily life, chat with others who are in similar situations, gain and share advice, stories, and friendship. Advertisements takes away from the value that TWN offers to our members. Unfortunately, if we allowed advertising in the Forum, we would quickly become a venue for spam, and that would be quite a turn off for our members.

What Can You Do Instead?

Contact Thinkhappy about advertising on our site or putting a link to your site in the  Links We Like area of the Forum - It is in the Welcome Aboard area - The first place new members visit when joining our site.

If you would like to place an advertisement on our site, please submit the Advertising Form.

We have  default Newbee avatar of a butterfly. You cannot delete that avatar, so please don't make yourself crazy trying to :-)

Simply upload your picture over it! Yes, that's right - Go to your Account, found in the Member Liniks menu. Then go to Edit (gray tab at the top) and scroll down to Avatar.

Click "Browse" and you can upload your pic from your computer!

There is a delay in appearance sometimes - It may take up to an hour for your new pic to display. Be patient.

Welcome! We're psyched that you are joining us! After surfing around the main categories and reading the new articles, and of course joining our Book Club (don't forget to order your book! March is fast approaching!) - Then come join us in the Women's Forum (accessible through the Women's Forum at the top of the page, or to your left under Find a Forum)!

A great place to start, after reading our Welcome info about avatars and such, is in the Introduce Yourself Here area! Tell other members about yourself and let them know to look for your posts!  Alternatively, you can go to Find  a Forum (left menu) and click on the specific category you are looking for!

If you want the Forum to look like our old one, just click on Women's Forum in the Menu up top - just below our TWN header.

Helpful info about posting: Once logged in, you will see the recent posts in the left column. To view your posts, go to your Account (found in the Menu at the left of your screen) and click on Track.

The Post New Forum Topic is located just below the Mark All Forums Read button at the Subcategory Level (ie: Click on a Category such as Family & Parenting. You will then see Mark All Topics Read. Once you click into a Topic - you can "reply" from there - but to start a new Thread (Topic) you need to go back to this screen.

Note to All Members:

Threads in Forums read from top to bottom, bottom being the most current. 

Thinkhappy, the Founder of the site, can be reached via PM and welcomes questions and comments. Please do not send PMs to Admin. Those go to our wonderful web guys, but Thinkhappy will not see the message.

Click on the "more" link at the bottom of the "Top Posters" block in the right column.

If your photos are too big they will create problems for other members who have smaller monitors.

This is an easy solution with Tinypic - just go to their website, upload your photo, and choose the 320 px size:-) Save it to your computer, and you can post it as you  normally would.

Do you see the Women's Forums in the left column? That's our Index of women's forums. If you want click there, you will go next to the level called our Containers - these are the main areas in each forum, or subforums. The next level is where you can post a new topic - you just click into whichever container, or subforum that you want to post - then Post a New Topic (it will say Post New Topic above the green header for the forum, but if you try to post in the Container/Sub Forum level you cannot. You have to be one more level deep.

See our Current Chats? Those are the specific current discussions that are going on currently. If you click on those you can then click "Add a Comment" or "reply" and you can post to any of those.

See our Hot Topics? Those are the Forum Topics that are currently being discussed. Clicking there will bring you into the forum topics themselves.

Lastly - we have, in the left green Menu, a bullet called Recent Posts - clicking there will give you the last three days worth of posts in all topics - we have so many people on sometimes that our Current Chats go by really quickly, so Recent Posts is a great way to stay on top of the posts if you've been off for a day or so :-)
