Women's Health: Finding Your Happy Self

March 20, 2011 by thinkhappy

Finding Your Happy Self

There are so many people who live their lives unhappy.  Why are some people living like that, while others live happy.  Is it a mindset, circumstances, emotional baggage from childhood, or all of the above?  How do people who have incredibly challenging things happen to them manage to move forward?  If even just one person can do it, then we all can.  Personally, I want to wake those up who are living their lives, day in and day out complaining about one thing or another and letting life pass them by.  Everyone can overcome even the worst circumstances.  I have.

If any of this resonates with you I would like to say there are tools you can use to overcome your less than fulfilled life.  It is a consciousness that you really want and it has to be cultivated.  We cannot assume that because we think of it, it's going to happen.  For me, I start the day with a positive intention.  I meditate before I even get out of bed and put my intentions out to the universe.  When you meditate, you are developing your peace muscle.   You might have to remind yourself at first, but then it becomes automatic.  That first step leads to the next.  Take your time.  It's a step-by-step process, rewarding yourself for each step. You are working towards making yourself whole.  Life as you see it changes.  The usual things that once bothered you, seem trivial.  Be patient with yourself.

Start an exercise routine.  This will help you feel strong in times of challenge.  It will also help you to become more spiritual.  Try yoga or tai chi in addition to strength training.  Take a simple walk and breathe in the air.  Read self-help books.  They can open you up to something that might be blocking you to your true self.

If your soul is full, you will always have enough; if your soul is empty, there will never be enough.  Instead of filling up your body, fill up your soul.  People around you will notice.
