Women's Health: Fad Diets and Why They Don't Work

We have all jumped on board to the latest and greatest diet out there.  Everywhere we turn we see it-TV commercials, magazine and newspaper articles, radio, etc.  Before you know it, their "brainwashing" techniques worked and we are on the diet; unfortunately only to lose nothing more than steam (which doesn't amount to much on the scale!).  If that weren't bad enough, we are then left with what I call another diet-the "negatvity diet", ex: "I failed again,", or "I have no willpower", "I was meant to be fat." 
 
The fact of the matter is that it's not your fault at all.  These fad diets do not provide you with the tools necessary to achieve your goal.  They train you in pure deprivation, which we know never works.  Remember the last time you took away your child's favorite toy?  They want it even more.
 
What you do need to know is you can eat to lose weight by simply making healthy eating choices, cutting out all processed foods, and really paying attention to when you are hungry.  Listen to your intuition; pay attention to what makes you feel satisfied.  Our inner voice has more wisdom than we believe.  If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact me.
