Fad Diets
If you have caught yourself eating way too much cabbage soup or enough grapefruits to give you a permanent pucker, you know what I am talking about. In the quest to be thin and lose weight, it is easy to fall prey to fad diets. They promise maximum weight loss with minimum effort. You trick yourself into thinking. “Sure, I can eat only brussels sprouts for 3 weeks, that won’t be hard. And I’ll look HOT!” But, on day two you are covering your brussels sprouts with anything you can get your hands on thinking “It’s just a little gravy, they’re still brussels sprouts!”.
Okay, it’s time we really held ourselves accountable. We are smart. We know our limits. And we know damn well we are not going to be able to live off of cabbage soup, grapefruits or brussels sprouts, no matter how hot we think we’ll be!!
We all truly know the only healthy way to weight loss is through a good balanced diet and exercise. We don’t want to hear it but we know it’s true.
