School has started, schedules have begun, and mornings are coming earlier than they have in months. Now the pressure is on to find the time to exercise...or I run the risk of getting writer's butt--you know, that awful spread that happens to your gluteus maximus if you sit for too long each day. Yeah, you know the one.

My motivation is easy--with our busy schedules, stress increases, and if I don't exercise, the caged tiger becomes cranky and may growl and hiss. To avoid this, aka, keep my sanity, I know I must find the time to MOVE!

Time is a precarious thing. I have many hours in the day, but how I choose to use them may baffle some. My day begins at 6:30, waking Jess and getting him ready for school. I'm then busy until 8:45, after returning from dropping Jake at school. By 9 am I am on my computer, Nesting, and writing, and there I will remain until 1:45, when it's time to make the pick-up rounds, etc.. And since I have committed to not using video games and tv as a babysitter, my time is not my own again until late in the evening, and even then it's not really "my" time.

So, what's the plan? My schedule, beginning after my husband returns to wok, which I hope will give my tendonitis enough time to heal, will be to rise at 5:45 am, and hop on the dreadmill until 6. Exercise until 6:30, and then do the kid routine. Return at 7:45, hit the treadmill again until 8:05, and then do Jake's morning routine--my 45 minutes of cardio...DONE.

Sharon has motivated me to do weights again - at least three times each week. So, if I can stick to the daily rising of 5:50 (this is a lofty goal), then I will slip in 3 days of weights in the afternoons (at home).

My motivation - to save my sanity, and my rear-end spread.

What's your motivation? Does anything change in your exercise routine in the fall?
