TH heres my Update on work

September 26, 2009 by nel361

I'm still working in the Pawt office. We have had our ups and downs but it is going well.  It is so peaceful at this office.  No bad stabbing, no competition, everyone helps everyone else, no yelling or attitutes.  Unfortunately, my time at this office is numbered. I found out that in Novermber they are planning to move all the billers to one office. So I will be back with the other group. Still sending out resumes for a part-time job but not hearing anything back.  There are so many people out of work in RI it is hard to get a job.  A women at work applied for a part-time job at a local hospital and over 400 people applied.  She didn't even get an interview.

Kids update: Nate doing well in his college course. The transition center placed him 2 days at an agency that works with parents and kids with disabilities doing computer work, 2 days at a dollar store, per diem at another business doing comptuer work and maybe 1 day at Home Depot. He finds out this week if he goes there. He likes the work. He comes home exhausted but happy.  Hopefully he will get a paying position at one of the jobs.  He doesn't have a job coach with him all day which is good.

Lou doing great in school. Very busy with Young life. Her girlfriend and her sold sponsorships for the rubber duck race for 4 hours today. She has sold enough to pay for her camp in November. She is doing her soccer, robotics, and everything else she did last year at school.  She needs to get a job so she can get a car so I don't have to driver her everywhere.

Evan is being a typical teenage boy. Doesn't want to do homework and just wants to play on the World of Warcraft on the computer.  We forced him to go to the younglife amazing race last weekend in Boston and he had fun. Now to get him to keep going there. He still doesn't want to do scouting. He is still in CAP and now is an element leader and safety officer.

It's only September and it feels like they have been in school for 6 months instead of 5 weeks.
