With my husband's recent return from Iraq, I now feel the impending end of summer--which I loathe and love equally. I loathe the end of our blissful family time, carefree, when every day holds such promise of fun outings. I loathe the idea of school, schedules, and homework, and I LOVE the return of my guilt-free writing days! The end of summer is a double-edged sword for me. I don't wish away the days with my kids, in fact, I wish for more. But I also long to write--alone at my keyboard, music blaring, cat at my feet--oh, life is good! And the end of summer means more book events, too. I've just been invited to another book signing in September. My schedule is filling up quickly. You can see my events page for my entire fall schedule, but in September I have signings on the 10th (Poolesville, MD Farmers Market), 11th (In The Streets Festival, Frederick ,MD), 18th (Sharpsburg Heritage Festival, Sharpsburg, MD), and 25th (Baltimore Book Festival). Busy, busy! I'm looking foward to meeting new readers!
I would still love to chat with book clubs and reading groups--never to busy to discuss my writing!
Do you look foward to summer's end?
