What's everyone doing for spring break this year? We are in the midst of our break now and have absolutely no big plans--and that feels great! Although I've been trying not to work over the break and that never seems to happen. Does anyone else feel the pressure to get things done - the silent calling of your duties as you try to watch a movie with the kids or turn your brain off for a little while?
My husband is home for a few days as well as the children - so I should have more to keep me busy - But it happens to be be the first game of the year for the Mets, so dh is very happily sitting in front of the tv and my boys have friends over (how on earth is 5 kids easier than 2?). Our teens are not home - so I'm hitting the computer to edit my first manuscript, The Knowing. I know, I know, damn Nicholas Cage ! I wrote my ms in 2006 - before the movie! Besides, Cage's movie should have been called Prophecy - and it is nothing like my novel. Anyway - I'll be back to the ms today, pulling my hair out over scenes and worrying about when I will be able to submit!
Then there's the exciting work of the rehosting of TWN -- many thanks to Kenn!! And I'll be learning to theme so our site will eventually have a new look and feel! I don't consider this part work, though - just very exciting and a great chance to learn more about site admin :-)
So there's my spring break - Anyone else doing real work during spring break?
Do you enjoy TWN? Donations are appreciated, but never expected :-) Thank you!
