Respect in Friendship

Good day my fellow Nester's, hope everyone is doing great.

As I watch the series Real Housewives and Basketball Wives, I have to question what is happening in today's society as it relates to "respect in friendship."

Isn't sisterhood about sharing your experiences with each other? Nowadays it's all about who have the most material things (and very expensive things)....Call me crazy, but I want to be the friend who can listen, speak up and support my girls. It would seem as if we are being forced to limit our friends...growing up it was about "the more the merrier."

My friend of over 20yrs and I had a big blow-up because I wasn't in agreement with her behavior. What bothers me the most is that she did not try to understand where I was coming from. It really offended me because she chose to not respect my decision.

RESPECT is a very import factor in all forms of relationship even in friendship.

Friends are important - they love you for who you are, they trust you with their deepest secrets. Everyone needs somebody to respect and trust.

My fellow Nester's let's all come together to support and love each other.
