I'm staying at the same cottage community on Cape Cod that I did last year, when Megan's Way was published, and yesterday I had an I-can't-believe-it moment. It was a really good feeling.
When Megan's Way was published, the publisher sent me a box of books here at the Cape, in July. The second I opened the box, Diane, a woman from a neighboring cottage, came running over and asked if she could by my first copy
. Talk about nervous! I was scared about my debut going public, and thrilled that it was, both at the same time.
Yesterday, as I was remembering that wonderful day, I realized that the year before last I was excited that some-day-it-will-happen, and I was nervous that some-day-it-won't-happen. Pretty normal apprehension, I'd imagine.
This year, I'm enjoying the success of Megan's Way and also excited about the upcoming publication of The Knowing (sorry, still no release date). Revisiting the apprehension, which I believe will remain in the forefront of my mind when any of my novels are to be released, is an invigorating feeling.
I just wanted to share the moment with you all--thank you for the support throughout the last two years. You all mean the world to me
