Just got home from a great show.
My husband and I went to see the Allman Brothers and the opening band Phil and Friends. It was a night like no other. The bass player from the Grateful Dead and his selected "friends" opened and gave us songs that made us remember the days of Jerry and for me the days of not having responsibility or worries. The days when I'd go to a show and dance, meet total strangers and feel an immediate connection, and have all kinds of fun without thinking about anything but the music.
The Allman Brothers followed with classics and the dueling guitars of Warren Haynes and Derrick Trucks - they even slipped in "The Weight" by The Band and Led Zeppelin’s "Dazed and Confused."
During the show there was an amazing thunder storm. Sounds like hell to most, but for me, it is what will keep me going...until the next show.
Anyone in the Nest feel the way I do about music?
