First, I would like to thank and congratulate thinkhappy for creating The Womens Nest and all the goodies that go with it while writing two books at the same time! Talk about multi-tasking!
Just started my umpteenth job since moving to Massachusetts a little over two years ago. With a lot of embellishment I managed to get this job and hope to keep it for a long time. I am working with very helpful women that have been there to answer my questions with a great deal of patience. It is a bit overwhelming as we see at least 300 patients a day in my department alone which is Orthopedic Surgery which is located in a large hospital/clinic.
Each new year we hope that this will be a better year than the one before. This year has been the most emotionally and finacially draining year of our lives and has taken a toll on all three of us. My son who is 16 is tired of living in a small condo while his friends ALL live in mansion like homes and don't know anything about struggling. He is tired of us having little money and to hear this breaks my heart as this is not the life I wished for him either. But after beating myself up for a few days for letting down my son I decided to let my son know that it is HIS choice of how he choses to look at his life. He can look backwards at what we once had and where we ended up or he can look forward and appreciate that he has a roof over his head and wants for nothing. That we promised once we moved here that we would not move and we kept that promise. That he has two parents that love him intensely and would do anything within our power for him and that I am trying the best I can to keep a roof over our head which is better than a lot of other people in the world right now. Look back and be resentful or look forward to the possibilites of a better life. I can't look backward and cry anymore. So I wish that 2010 gives you all what you need and that you only look forward to what can be.
