Honey-do List

Who has the longest Honey-do List? Is it you or me? Whose Honey-do List will be completed first? Well, let's see, my dh is in Iraq, and yours is likely around, but works full-time, right? What do you think? Hmm...Well, this Honey-do List is about to become the Honette-do List. And guess what - that means that mine will be done very quickly!

Yup, I've taken over the list, and I've already completed two tasks that have been hanging around for twelve years. Yeah, you read that right - twelve years! Last night I filled in all of our missing grout in the family room, and tonight my son and I recaulked around our kitchen sink. Neither job was difficult, or very time consuming. Which brings me to the next thing I wanted to discuss, timing.

Why is it that when we prepare our houses to sell, we do all of the pesty jobs that we don't take the time to do when we live in the homes day-to-day? I'm not sure why why this is, and I'd like to offer  a recommendation; anyone who has a Honey-do List, take control of it! Make it happen!

Next on my list? Caulking the little settling cracks around the windows. I have no idea what they're called, but I asked a handyman about them and their solution was to caulk. Well, I've done pretty well with that skill - so here I come!

(Don't worry, I still have time to meet with book clubs and discuss Megan's Way, and I'm dead-set on having Saving Tracey completed by the end of the month! Oh yeah, I'm feeling pretty productive these days!)
