The good ole days.

Last night I was able to get caught up with a friend I have not spoken to in a while. She also lives in the country even more then us . They have cows you name it. She also has a few more kids but she homeschools too. We got to talking about how are kids get to kinda live in the best of both worlds. The good ole days when a kid was a kid. They got dirty, they made their own toys, their siblings were their best friends, and they worked as hard as they played. But they also get to enjoy the techy new world even in our schooling we use the net daily, cable, netflix, they get to play video games, They can send a friend an email instead of a letter . Today we took a hike after the kids found a dead animal in the woods. Which prompted a hiking and scientic discovery as a family to try to figure out what this thing was. lol I know I lost a few of you. But we also got to find deer tracks, craw fish in our stream, and where the wild berries grow that we fight all summer to beat the deer to. Sure my laundry is never ending, my kids are dirty alot. But they are healthy and having fun, plus they are eager to learn.

I thought I would share a bit of the experience with you all.
