Fashion for Real Women

What happens when you are too young for orthopedic shoes but too old for Uggs? You have now entered the dilemma of millions of real women- women who try to find a balance between frumpy fashion and too trendy. How can we be trendy but not look like we are trying to find a date to the prom?

1. Don’t copy what you see on TV- Television is made to appeal to our senses. What looks good on your favorite prime-time soap won’t necessarily fly at your office.
2. Phone a friend- Don’t be afraid to ask a girlfriend where she shops or invite her to go along with you next time you plan on dropping some money on high fashion.
3. Look at what other women are wearing. We all see a woman at some time or another that we think looks cute. Next time, pay attention to why you like how she looks. More than likely she is able to pull together an outfit that is trendy while being age appropriate.
4. Don’t give up! After switching outfits twice, don’t settle for sweatpants. Dressing nice makes us feel better and feeling happy is what it’s all about!
