This is the BASIC recipe for fudge.  You can add nuts, raisins and other goodies if you like.  I like it plain since I'm all about the chocolate, not the other stuff.  Also you can use a mix of chocolate and butterscotch morsels.

  • 22 ounces of chocolate chips
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Place a heavy pot on the stove and preheat it over low heat. Add chips and milk and stir until chips are melted and milk combined. Stir in vanilla and remove fudge from heat.  Add nuts, raisins if you like.  Spread in a small baking dish and refrigerate.

I have made this many times, it is the best tasting fudge ever and takes only a few minutes!  Great for kids to make too.
