This is a realy easy recipe. There are a few variations but this one is the simplest to make -- no rolling involved, you pinch the dough, fill and bake!

Mix cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add flour slowly until well blended. Shape into a ball and chill for a 3 hours or overnight. |

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) Pull off about 30 little pieces and roll into balls. Make a thumbprint in each one and fill with almond filling, jam or preserves. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. |

After they are completely cooled, sprinkle lightly with confectioner's sugar. |

3 ounces cream cheese 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup filling 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration |
