So I have officially rejoined the living. After a week of being so sick I was worthless. SO today we did homeschool like usual from 8:30 to around 12:30 finished a bit early today since we had unit tests and reviews mostly. Last week Bri was really struggling with her geography and me being so sick I was not really focussed either. But this weekend we went to several differnt parts of the river that were gving her trouble and let the kids explore and turned the dog loose. Ex. the canal, mouth, bay I am pleased to announce Bri scored 100% on both her science and her history/geography tests . The kids had a blast we found some interesting things and it made the vocab words click in Bris head. It was worth missing church one day for 2 100 % I think anyway.
We are also doing some cool leaf experiments we put tape on one leaf and since the red color is brought on by the sun it will only turn yellow under the tape. We are studying why the leaves change color etc. We are also going to boil a leaf and then soak it alcohol which is supposed to draw out the chloraphoryl leaving the leaf white and turning the alcolhol green. We shall see. Homeschool keeps us so busy even though we do most our paper work from 8:30 -1pm we are always doing some little thing me reading something from a history , or biography book. taking a field trip. Looking something the kids want to know up. Then they of course play outside and we have all our chores. I have been hard pressed the last 2 weeks to make it to the gym. I did get some much needed scrapbooking done yesterday. I am almost caught up with all my printed pics. But I have like 200 in my camera I need to get printed so I am always behind the curve these days. lol The kids did crafts while I scrapped made a few more Halloween decorations, the girls worked on their scrapbooks. Then we had company over for dinner.
My goal for today is to finish up school on time, get the wall paper border off the bathroom wall, go to the gym, come home . I would love to start painting today But I think that might be too pushing it. I am finally getting around to painting my bathroom it has only been 5 yrs since we bought our house. We have painted it but never took down the ugly boder and really painted it good. I am on a mission now! Over all I guess I have just realized even as wonderful as I ma at managing time I still never seem to have enough time to do what I want to do . lol Where do we stand on cloning?
