Blast from the Past

For some reason, people from my past are entering my life again.

I know I told you about my friend who I haven't seen in over 20 years. We are still communicating by e-mail and phone. It is great to talk to him.

Last week my cousin who I haven't seen in years came to RI. He lives in Washington State. We went out to dinner with him, his son and my family. It was so nice to see him.  He is talking of coming home. I hope so. 

I answered a billing call at work and the name of the patient is odd. I knew when I talked to his wife, that it was this guy I worked with in the 1980's.  I asked her if it was him and she said yes. I was the receptionist and he was a therapist. After I graduated college,I left working in his dept to go into another one in the same company. He kept bugging me to go back to school and would bring job adds. Telling me I wasn't reaching my potential. Anyways, he got on the phone and we had a nice conversation. Both of us miss where we worked. We both felt it was like a family. 

This is the third person I worked with at this company that I have been in contact with. We all wish that the company was still together. They are doctors and have their own practices but still miss the "family."

It is nice to reconnect with people in our past even if it is just a hi on the phone.
