As I await the completion of editing on my second novel, The Knowing, and move full speed ahead into chapter five of writing my third novel, I can't help but become excited about all of the characters and events as they are unveiled. But I also find myself remaining just as excited about the characters in Megan's Way. Somehow, those characters, or as I like to think of them, friendships with people from another realm (okay, I don't really think of them that way, but I had to put something in there!), just don't ever leave me.
Today I put down my writing, put the anticipation of The Knowing aside, and signed up to exhibit Megan's Way at the Baltimore Book Festival (BBF). The BBF is a grand literary event and has featured more than 100 local and celebrity authors including Buzz Aldrin, Gwen Ifill, Ralph Nader, Chris Gardner, Amiri Baraka, Ingrid Hoffmann, Farai Chideya, Maureen McCormick, Dale DeGroff, Lourdes Castro, Adam Ried, Mordicai Gerstein and James Warhola.
There is an application process, and I'm hoping to be accepted, along with my friend, and fellow author, Donna Aviles. If you live in and around Baltimore, put this date on your calendar!
