Every parent’s worst nightmare is losing their child.

The Knowing is a paranormal mystery about the disappearance of seven-year-old Tracey Porter. Her disappearance mirrors the abduction of Kate Plumber, which took place twenty years earlier—Kate was never seen again. 

Boyds, Maryland is the type of small town where people move to escape chaos and crime.  One country store, two small churches, and residents who were born and raised in the area makes the town appear ideal. Molly Tanner has lived there for twelve years, and has been clairvoyant for as long as she can remember. Her visions have never provided enough detail to warn people of upcoming tragedies, leaving her guilt-ridden and overburdened—until one cold, gray morning when she’s out for her daily jog. With the power of a virulent disease, the visions suddenly become incapacitating, enveloping Molly’s mind, and rendering her helpless against the horrific images as they’re etched into her mind. Unable to ignore the powerful visions, and ridiculed at by the police, Molly takes matters into her own hands; stepping out of her safe existence and into a dangerous and emotional investigation. Molly finds another side of Boyds; a darker side, where the residents, and the land itself, hold potentially lethal secrets.  The fact that the key to finding Tracey lies within the mind of the pastor’s brother, who was beaten to death for the abduction of Kate Plumber, doesn't dissuade Molly from her mission.
